Mikiyas Gebru is an artist, editor and audio engineer, based in Melbourne.

With more than a decade’s experience in pre and post production across audio and visual projects, Mikiyas has worked on small and large scale production, including for live events, music festivals, concerts and conferences for both commercial clients, non-profits and artists. He is a skilled editor in both music and video post-production with a faultless eye for detail.

Mikiyas is an Ethiopian-Australian artist and MC, who fronts six-piece progressive hip-hop band, Royalty Noise. He is an active member of the Ethiopian and African diaspora community and is passionate about supporting music and entrepreneurship in his homeland.

In 2017, Mikiyas co-founded the independent music collective and label, Simmer Town, which supports Melbourne artists through the full evolution of their projects, including writing, recording, releasing, marketing and gigging.
